Here are formats we offer in our tournaments:

Regular Formats

6 hands through finals ~ All Bids

8 hands through finals ~ All Bids

8 hands through finals ~ No DN

8 hands ~ 10 hand finals ~ All Bids

Suicide (Unknown Author)

One pard bids NIL or DOUBLE NIL
Other pard bids REG including NIL if desired
MISBID=DQ

Mirrors (Unknown Author)

You bid the number of spades you have
Bid is always 13.
DN not allowed
MISBID=DQ

DN (Unknown Author)

ALL players MUST bid DN
MISBID=loss of game, but not match
Usually best 2/3 games

Player who holds Ace of Spades bids nil
Other players bids 4
Bid is ALWAYS 12

Naughty Mirrors (Created by Wham Bam Spades Me Ma'am)

Same as normal Mirrors but 1st bidder calls the suit to be bid on....
could be clubs one hand, hearts the next & spades the hand after
that. The table bid will ALWAYS be a 13 bid & spades are ALWAYS trump

Sailor Bot

Regular spades with a bot as your pard
against another single player who also has a bot for a pard

7 Deadly Sins

1st Hand - Greed- all bid 4
2nd Hand - Gluttony- bag em - All bid 1
3rd Hand - Sloth - Bid same that your pard (3rd and 4th bidders bid same that their pard´s bid)
4th Hand - Lust - bid hearts and strip - u only can play your spades when no other suit
5th Hand - Pride - Mirrors - bid your spades
6thHand - Envy - 7 of spades picks suit to mirror
7th Hand - Anger - all bid DN
